-Volunteering is crucial to the success of The Graham School
-Examples: answering phones (time); painting, plumbing (skills); and school
supplies, first aid supplies (items).
-Parent Group goal for 2009-2010:

  • Purchase one Smart Board at the cost of approximately $3,000, as requested by teachers.
  • Purchase one electric drum set to encourage interest in music, $1,000. Half of money to be raised by Graham Jam fundraiser, to be held in October. Fred Whiteman and students to raise half of needed funds.
  • Talent show component may be added to Graham Jam.

5. Current Fundraisers
-Market Day raised $1,600 from Nov. to May during the 2008-2009 school year.   Sherri Hayes will continue to be in charge this year. Families who purchase Market Day products may have the percentage they earn for the school earmarked for their child's individual fundraising account.
-Campbell soup labels are still being collected. The school receives equipment rather than money.
-TGS can earn money through the Kroger Community rewards program using the shopper's card. Registration is done online and is then automatic with each purchase with shopper card.
-Annual campaign is done each fall. Volunteers call parents and alumni to ask for donations.
-Phoneraiser.com will pay for old cell phones that work and have a charger, as well as for ink jet cartridges.
-Goodsearch.com will pay the school 1cent for every search after the user downloads a toolbar.
